The homeowners had recently bought and rehabbed the interior of this Edgewater four-square Victorian house. Two of the second floor closets had old bi-fold doors that were inconsistent with the rest of the home. The closet in the master bedroom was unfinished. The project included researching, fitting and ordering two pairs of double-hung five panel doors consistent with the doors in the rest of the home. One set was ordered as a pre-hung pair and moldings were milled and installed to match the others in the house. One door jamb was already complete so the doors had to be ordered as individual slabs and mortised and fitted on site. The master closet didn’t have shelving so shelf supports, shelves and clothes hooks were installed. I researched antique brass door knobs, hinges and ball latches to match the existing. Those were also installed as part of the project.
